Curaca - Ocean Encounters West |
|
Ocean encounters, a family-owned PADI Five-Star IDC that has
quickly garnered a growing fan base of return guests, has opened
a second PADI Five-Star Gold Palm Dive Center on Curacao's
westernmost end. This not only increases the operations
capacity; it puts every one of the island's moored dive sites
less than a 25-minute boat ride from an Ocean Encounters dock.
By the time you've pulled on a wetsuit and checked your camera,
you're there. Of course, Curacao has great diving all along its
lee shore too; I'd happily make the trip, for instance, just to
dive the Superior Producer. But for practically instant access
to what I'll always think of as the island's magical region, a
dive operation on the west end fills the bill. My hat is off to
Ocean Encounters West for meeting that need.
